Research has shown that High Quality Play is an important contribution to a preschooler's emerging literacy, numeracy and inquiry skills. Our curriculum is based on exciting monthly themes, creating an environment where children are active participants in their learning.
Phonics Pre-Reading Program
Monday, Wednesday and Friday students participate in a Phonics Pre-Reading program. This phonics system attempts to address all learning styles while teaching the phonograms in fun and entertaining ways. Phonics students learn the sounds a letter makes (instead of 'b' is for boat) and to see, hear, say and print the phonogram.
Fun & Games
Monday/Wednesday/Friday students can participate in activities that develop and challenge their problems solving, abstract reasoning, and fine-motor skills. These include variations on games like BINGO; matching and ordering games; cutting/gluing worksheets; special cooking and baking days.
