RIGGS Phonics Pre-Reading Program

Monday, Wednesday and Friday students participate in the much acclaimed RIGGS Phonics Pre-Reading program. The RIGGS system attempts to address all learning styles while teaching the phonograms in fun and entertaining ways. RIGGS Phonics students learn the sounds a letter makes (instead of b' is for boat) and to see, hear, say and print the phonogram.

Creative Music in Early Childhood

All RCNS students have the unique opportunity, to explore music with the staff of Visionary College. Students will learn about string, percussion and wind instruments, and even experience playing some of them! Rhythm, and basic musical terms will be introduced and musical concepts are taught using games and movement with the goal that the children experience the joy of making music.

Visionary College has been developing it's own music programs, now teaching over 1800 students of all ages. They have a dedicated music instructor with a passion for working with young children.
